Could a more nuanced understanding of the role of culture seed new strategies to reduce stubborn health disparities? The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has asked Purple States to create an online learning tool that enables institutions and groups with a part to play in building a national Culture of Health to explore the significance of culture.

Documentary on Life After Prison
In production. May 2014 - 2016. Purple States joins forces with Downtown Community Television’s award-winning documentary filmmakers to bring to life the human and social policy consequences of incarceration. This multimedia cross-platform documentary begins as fifteen people leave prison in Connecticut, each with a camera. Filming by ex-offenders and producers fuels New York Times data-driven interactive reporting, and culminates in a broadcast film.
