The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has asked Purple States to create an online learning tool that enables institutions and groups with a part to play in building a national Culture of Health to explore the significance of culture.

Documentary on Life After Prison

On the Outside

In production. May 2014 - 2016. Purple States joins forces with Downtown Community Television’s award-winning documentary filmmakers to bring to life the human and social policy consequences of incarceration. This multimedia cross-platform documentary begins as fifteen people leave prison in Connecticut, each with a camera. Filming by ex-offenders and producers fuels New York Times data-driven interactive reporting, and culminates in a broadcast film.
