Non Partisan President
Non Partisan President

Do you think it would ever be possible to have a non partisan president?  And what all does that entail?  The two party system obviously has jaded many voters into believing we ONLY have two parties and the choice MUST be one of those two.  But that's not exactly the case, its just the implicit rule everyone seems to abide by.

--

Here are the two ways this could go; one, this could result in a one party system, which sounds more like a socialist or communist society, but without dictatorship.  Or two, (and this would be my hope)  for anyone and everyone to reevaluate issues, see what need to be nationalized, and what should stay in the control of closer to home.  There's no colors, there's no mascots, just words.  No distractions, no celebrity endorsements, just words.

I'm not quite sure what I'm trying to get at here, but I'm just waiting for the day the donkey and the elephant do it and then our only choice will be a mule.  With a really long nose.  And big ears.

You're good at what you do. When might you be on the ballot? In four years, I presume? I get so frusterated with "hot topic" issues, I think I'll write a blog about it! When I get home from work... already late. Talk to ya soon, and read my new blog!

We need diverse thought and ideology. As much as either major political party won't admit it, they need each other. People that debate "hot topics" and hold polar opposite views will usually find the answer somewhere in the middle.

Although my views are conservative, I have an open mind to liberal views. This is because it either marks a weakness in what I believe in which case I have to re-evaluate my stance on a particular issue AND/OR it gives me strength and furthers my resolve.
